Wondrous item, uncommon

This voluminous wig befits an aristocrat of Poordt. When you use an action to put it on, you assume the physical form of a race typically associated with Poordter aristocracy. You determine the race by rolling on the table below. You assume that race’s shape, size, and general appearance, but you retain your physical features as much as the race’s anatomy allows. For example, as a goblin you transform into a particularly wiry human with a prodigious nose. You also retain your game statistics (other than your size).

In addition, your clothing transforms into a noble’s attire, including a slashed doublet and breeches, or a gown, bodice, and petticoat (your choice). Any other equipment you are wearing or carrying isn’t transformed.

A wary creature can use its action to inspect your appearance and make a DC 13 Intelligence (Investigation) check. The creature has advantage if it has seen you in your true form. If it succeeds, it becomes aware of the magical nature of your appearance.

After each hour of wearing the wig, you must make a Charisma saving throw. The DC is 10 + 1 for each hour past the first. On a failed save, the transformation ends. It also ends if you or another creature uses an action to remove the wig. Once the transformation has ended, the wig can’t be used again until the next dawn.
