This basket is woven in the shape of a chicken, and it is just large enough to contain a single egg. Each day at dawn, a hard-boiled chicken egg magically appears inside it.
There is a 25 percent chance that the basket instead produces a glass egg with a tiny humanoid figure inside. Destroying the egg (AC 8, 1 hit point, immunity to poison and psychic damage) releases the figure, who is actually the infamous Rappe Ansie. Ansie was a quick-tempered, mischievous chicken thief before she was shrunk and trapped by a fey spirit. She has the statistics of a quickling (see Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse) and can’t be charmed.
While released, Ansie spends her turns committing arbitrary acts of mischief. In combat, she acts on her own initiative count. She disappears after 1 minute or when she is reduced to 0 hit points.
If the basket produces a glass egg while another one exists, the first one immediately vanishes.
